Archives of any size require enterprise-level security, performance, preservation, and management. The NETArchive for small to medium archives delivers those qualities with an integrated solution that supports up to 48TB of nearline storage with an unlimited capacity for management of offlined media.
All NA-S10 Network Attached solution components operate in synch to deliver high-performance and high-capacity in an optional desktop mini-rack or standard AV rack. System components include the Archive Management Software Pro (AMS Pro), Storage Management System (SMS) with RAID, and a NA-S10 library and drives. Systems can be configured with one or two high performance drives and up to 10 ODA media cartridges.
The NETArchive is a highly scalable solution. With a simple license change, it expands to support 30 media cartridges and a 144TB storage capacity. The NETArchive physical library can then be extended within the same rack with optional add-on library modules and ODA drives, providing support for up to 2.5PB of nearline storage capacity, providing excellent investment protection.

AMS Pro
The fully automated Archive Management Software Pro software serves as the central intelligence for the system distinguishing the NETArchive solution through accurate and streamlined data archiving operations. Geared to equal the groundbreaking capabilities of system hardware components, AMS Pro has the power to support FibreChannel communications, up to 96TB of nearline RAID storage, and up to 48TB of nearline data capacity with virtually limitless offline media management.
All data is seamlessly migrated to optical storage media or cloud in accordance with configurable, user-defined policies. The advanced feature set includes options for High Availability Replication, Cloud storage for archiving and offsite backup, and Encryption for increased security.
Key elements of the AMS Pro act as synchronized gears that provide all the capability necessary for proficiently and effectively archiving and retrieving data. These elements, Simplified Operation, Data Management, Security, Proactive Monitoring, Integration, and Business Continuity, blend together to address the pain points and requirements of current IT infrastructures.
The Storage Management System (SMS) is a vital component of Alliance’s fully inclusive NAS based archiving solution and features the latest storage server technology from industry-leading manufacturers. The server provides the high-performance throughput and power required to support scalable data archiving operations.
The 2U server chassis fits neatly into the desktop mini-rack along with other solution components. Designed to manage up to 48TB of nearline data, the SMS accelerates internal operations with a robust hardware configuration that includes up to 96TB RAID Cache, high-speed I/O communications, and the NA-S10 library and up to two ODA optical drives.
Alliance’s high-powered Storage Management System has the hardware speed and functionality to support archiving solutions of any size or capacity.
NA-S10 Libraries are configured with up to two, high-performance ODA drives. The advanced optical drive design features a multi-platter loading mechanism and quad optical heads and 8 data channels for faster reads and writes. Drives directly connect with the SMS via 8Gb FibreChannel communications, ensuring the fastest speeds possible.
The library supports up to ten, protected ODA media cartridges that prevent human contact with actual media. The cartridges are loaded into the library via a convenient pullout drawer that enables rapid access and exchange. Library robotics include a fully automated media transport assembly that moves cartridges between slots and drives.
An optional redundant power supply is available for high-availability.
